Batalla de Puebla party!

First a quick background story on what this is all about.

What is Batalla de Puebla?

The Puebla Battle took place on May 5, 1862 in the city of Puebla (a beautiful city just 1 hour away from Mexico City!!) when the Mexican army fought against the French who were trying to invade Mexico, they came through the coast on the east side (Veracruz) and worked their way to the capital, but they were stopped and defeated in Puebla. This day we celebrate the triumph of our army!

Apparently, the Mexicans never even dreamt that they would win this war against the super-power French…but they just went in for the fight with all their heart….and guess what – they won! That probably speaks a lot about most Mexicans…all heart

So why the heck are we talking about this? That’s because at OutSmart360, we believe in providing an international culture in all our offices. And that means we hire bright, talented, young individuals from all over the world to join us and work with us. Dariela, from Mexico, is one such in our team!

Dariela also has three elder brothers whose permission you need to get if you want to ask her out.

The food was laid out to get everyone to join in the festivities…

These are called Quessedillas…essentially roti’s filled with a generous helping of CHEESE. That was seriously yummy…though it doesnt even look close to it…

Three course meal anyone?

“Salsa Mexicana”. It looks like our very own *salaad” that we get at apna empire…but MUCH more tasty.

zanahorias con tajin. What a crazy name for carrots and some spice. Sounds more Mongolian. Looks very tangy…was surprisingly not!

The guys give two hoots to the presentation…they are here only for one thing: FOOD.

That bowl is full of mezcal…nah, its the left over carrot juice. He was forced to drink it because he refused to wear mexican colors on the Mexican national day!
