Suraj’s Birthday: Street Party!

This was something we had been waiting for – for a while!

Suraj is our most friendly Human Resources Manager who is always looking out for all of us. He’s also the go-to-guy whenever there’s an emergency (and theres ALWAYS an emergency around here

So we wanted to do something extra special for him. And his birthday was the best day to do it!

This is what happened:

So what exactly did transpire for this to happen?!

These were our rules:

1. It had to be a surprise

2. It had to be different from the parties done in the past 3-4 months to heighten the element of shock

3. It had to include his very pretty and newly wedded wife (wedded to him ofcourse! You’re a lucky guy Suraj!)

4. It had to be CRAZY. We could patent that word.

The last time we had a street party was way back in early 2009 for Sonali (a pretty and chubby girl in our team back then). So we decided it was time for another Street Party. So this was what we did. Suraj got in early and parked up and ventured into work. We got him a quick errand to do and sent him back out to his car.

And guess who he meets?!

What we had managed to do was, order the cake, get it into the car – along with his wife whom we shipped over to our office from his house, bolted both of them in his car and waited until he came back out and opened the door!

Suraj however seemed to be a lot more interested in the cake. No breakfast that morning brother?

Does anybody here think that Suraj looks like a modern day avatar of Lord Krishna with butter all over his mouth?

Now it was time for the gifts to be opened. For some reason Venkat’s always peering into other people’s gift boxes. Is it because of his love for them – for the fact that they should have received the gift in prim and proper shape?

NAAAAAAAH! He’s just greedy and wants all the gifts for himself!

Suraj receives *something* from *someone* we dont even know! Honestly, we think these guys just walked off the street into our office!!!

Suraj begins the ardous task of finding his gift in the big box

Suraj finally finds his gift! Its a sheaffer’s pen! Suraj shows it off almost immediately to Venkat.

Venkat wants to grab the pen and run away but folds his arms in tight to avoid the TEMPTATION!

Suraj makes sure its a sheaffer’s. He cant believe it.

Thoughts running through Suraj’s head: I cant believe these cheap-skates actually went out and got me an expensive sheaffer’s pen! Haha! I’m rich!
